Our client is pioneering the real-time technology and ad exchange space, providing customizable, media trading systems for agencies, advertisers, publishers, and tech companies, and they’re looking for an experienced sales manager to join their team. The Business Development Director needs to have extensive experience with managing or selling programmatic advertising and be a go-getter who identifies and pursues new deals. They’ll be a strong communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into clear business and product proposals. This role requires a deep understanding of the publishing industry and the ability to leverage this expertise to provide high-performing and integrated solutions that surpass client expectations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is passionate about learning new technologies and able to effectively present their capabilities to prospective customers.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with senior executives to analyze client’s needs and formulate pitch strategy
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop solution strategies and revenue outlook
- Meet quarterly revenue targets for new business
- Establish and cultivate a portfolio of broadcasters and publishers across digital and traditional platforms
- Expand growth opportunities with established clients and manage client relationships
- Represent the company at networking events to curate potential partnerships and reinforce brand reputation
- Assess the marketplace to determine solution variables and strategize sales approach
- Provide input on new products and product innovation
- Evaluate the performance of various departments to cultivate a company culture of continuous improvement and learning
- 5+ years of professional experience within the advertising, media, or publishing market
- 3+ years of adtech experience with a thorough understanding of existing and emerging technologies, analytics, big data, enterprise marketing, and online media trading
- Background of successfully developing solution strategies and supporting business cases, alongside establishing industry relationships
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills who can collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the client acquisition life cycle
